There is provided a method of configuring a connection of a mobile terminal (102) to an internet protocol (IP) network (100), said method comprising:- receiving a first message (132) from the mobile terminal, said first message indicating whether the mobile terminal is able to employ an IP based mobility protocol client (128) for said connection;- sending a second message (142) to the mobile terminal, wherein said second message indicates the mobility modes supported by the foreign network.;In other aspects, there is provided an improved mobile terminal, and a network component, and an IP-network.
