A recess (2) is created in a toilet seat (1). In the recess there is a sensor unit with sensor electronics (3) and a sensor surface (4) along with a wireless transmitter (5) and a power supply (6). On the underside of the toilet seat there is a buffer (7) resting on a water-closet toilet pan to seal the recess partly. An independent claim is also included for a water-closet seat system.
