System for controlling a content transmission session between a content server and a terminal connected to a cellular network with intermittent radio coverage and with a mechanism for intermittent transfer of content

The system has transferring devices (D1, D2) set in a radio communication terminal i.e. mobile telephone (UE) and a radio communication network (RR), respectively. The devices transmit content to a content server (SC) i.e. network equipment, next to an application (LC) e.g. multimedia player, to continue transmission of a data block of the content, when a content transmission session is established between the application and the server. The devices are arranged for transmitting the contents to the application for transmitting messages relative to the session to the server.
