A single unit communication connector having a power converter and a method for transmitting the power are provided to supply a driving power to a terminal easily, by imparting a power supply function to a switch hub, monitoring a power supplied to the terminal connected to the switch hub, and supplying the driving power. A main power supply unit(10) converts AC power, which is inputted to a switch hub, into DC electricity. A power control unit(20) controls input and output of the DC electricity inputted from the main power supply unit(10), and senses the DC electricity. A controller(30) is connected to the power control unit(20). The controller(30) compares a voltage of the DC electricity inputted from the power control unit with a reference voltage, and outputs a voltage control signal corresponding to the compared result to the power control unit(20). A main connector(40) outputs the DC electricity inputted from the power control unit(20) to a terminal.
