DOWNLINK ROUTING ALGORITHM FOR WIRELESS SENSOR NETWORKS

A downlink algorithm for a wireless sensor network is provided to reduce the consumption of energy by reducing the number of transmitted packets through the sensor network. A wireless sensor network is configured by a plurality of sensor nodes(311~322) and a sink node(301). Each of sensor nodes has a sensor, a microprocessor, and a wireless communication function. In the sink node, there is no limitation of the amount of energy and memory consumption greater than that of the sensor nodes, and the sink node has a microprocessor capable of processing information. The sensor network reduces energy consumption by connecting a path necessary for data transmission between the sensor nodes and the sink node with a logical link in order to reduce the number of transmitted packets.
