A DEVICE FOR SUPPORTING LATERAL MOVEMENT OF LOWER JAW

A device for assisting lateral movement of a lower jaw is provided to move the lower jaw laterally by sliding a mandibular central incisor along a lower jaw tooth interface with keeping the engagement state of an engaging part. A device(10) for assisting lateral movement of a lower jaw moves the tuberculum coronae of molar teeth of the lower jaw to the buccal surface of molar teeth of the upper jaw and comprises an engaging part(11) and a handle(12). The engaging part is inserted into the mouth and engaged between mandibular and maxiliary central incisors(200,100), and composed of an upper jaw tooth interface(11A) coming into contact with an incision(100a) of the maxiliary central incisor and a lower jaw tooth interface(11B) coming into contact with an incision(200a) of the mandibular central incisor. The engaging part makes a gap between the incisions of the mandibular and maxiliary central incisors. The handle is extended from the engaging part. The upper and lower jaw tooth interfaces include the entire movement trace of the mandibular and maxiliary central incisors during a lateral movement of the lower jaw.
