AUTHENTICATION DEVICE, AUTHENTICATION SYSTEM, AND CONFIRMATION METHOD FOR THE AUTHENTICATION DEVICE

An authentication device, an authentication system, and a verification method for the authentication device are provided to prevent authentication by an unauthorized unit even if an authentication device has been switched. A non-volatile memory(120) stores one of divided data blocks obtained by dividing authentication data which has been prepared in advance to execute authentication through cross-checking against input data input to authentication devices(100 to 400). A receiver(150) receives a divided data block stored in another authentication device. A reconstituting unit combines the divided data block stored in the non-volatile memory with the received divided data block to reconstitute the authentication data. A volatile memory(130) stores the reconstituted authentication data. An authentication unit compares the reconstituted authentication data with the input data input to the authentication device.
