PURPOSE: A method of processing a virtual private network service using an MIP(Mobile Internet Protocol) and an MPLS(Multi-Protocol Label Switch) in an advanced mobile communication system is provided to apply functions of the MIP and the MPLS to a GPRS(General Packet Radio Service) network structure of a UMTS, thereby solving an overhead problem mounting an IPSec protocol on an MS(Mobile Station). CONSTITUTION: When an MS(11) mounting an SIM card thereon arrives at a new UTRAN(12), wireless information including UTRAN/BSS parameter, protocol information and cell ID is broadcasted to the MS(11), and an IMSI(International Mobile Subscriber Identity) registration function is performed, then if the MS(11) moves to a visit network for the first time, an IP address and a GFA(Gateway Foreign Agent) address of the MS(11) are registered(210-221). When a CN(Correspond Node) transmits datagram to the MS(11), a virtual private network for an MPLS function is formed between an SGSN(Service GPRS Support Node)/FA(Foreign Agent)(15), a GGSN(Gateway GPRS Support Node)/GFA(16), and a GGSN/HA(Home Agent)(18), and a packet data service is supplied through routing optimization(230-233).
