1 Arabidopsis thaliana AtPFP1 promoter and plant transformed with the same

A PFP(pyrophosphate:fructose-6-phosphate 1-phosphotransferase) alpha1(AtPFPalpha1) promoter is provided which is an important controlling factor for the AtPFPalpha1 gene expression and is useful for isolating DNA binding factors. A PFP(pyrophosphate:fructose-6-phosphate 1-phosphotransferase) alpha1(AtPFPalpha1) promoter derived from Arabidopsis thaliana consists of a sequence of SEQ ID : NO. 1 and is expressed in leaves, roots or flower tissues. A recombinant plant expression vector includes the promoter. A method for preparing a transgenic plant comprises the steps of: (a) transforming a plant cell with the vector; and (b) redifferentiating the transgenic plant from the transgenic plant cell.
