An elutriated two-phase anaerobic digestion apparatus and a method of treating wastewater using the same are provided to reduce the volume of a reactor and the amount of sludge by disusing non-biodegradable sludge early, thereby reducing an unnecessary solid retention time, and obtain effluent with high quality and an organic acid with a desired concentration according to the return ratio of effluent by improving treatment efficiency of effluent. An elutriated two-phase anaerobic digestion apparatus comprises: an acid generating reactor(100) into which organic wastewater to be treated flows, in which the wastewater is hydrolyzed, and an acid generating reaction is conducted, from which non-biodegradable solids are disused, and which is constructed as a plug flow reactor; a methane generating reactor(200) into which wastewater that has been treated in the acid generating reactor flows, in which a methane generating reaction is performed, and which is constructed as an upflow anaerobic sludge blanker reactor; a return pump(300) for returning a portion of effluent discharged from the methane generating reactor to the acid generating reactor; and a temperature controller(500) for controlling temperatures of the acid generating reactor and the methane generating reactor.
