A structure of connecting a heat pipe to a branch pipe of a header of a heat pipe type solar collector is provided to prevent leakage of a heat collecting medium flowing along the header by preventing crack of the connection portion between the header and the head pipe caused due to thermal expansion. A branch pipe(3) which is vertically connected to a head(2) has one end with a threaded surface(5), and a heat pipe(4) connected to one end of the threaded surface has a wing flange(6) formed integrally to the heat pipe. A seal ring(8) is fitted into the gap formed between the wing flange of the heat pipe and a tip of the threaded surface of the branch pipe so as to join the head and the heat pipe through a screw(9).
