Method for Transmitting of Acknowledgements to Hybrid ARQ Packets in OFDMA System and Transmitter/Receiver therefor

A method for transmitting acknowledgement to hybrid ARQ packets in an OFDMA system and a transceiver for the same are provided to improve efficiency for transmitting an uplink signal by using the whole wireless resources by scrambling the acknowledgement signal after storing the acknowledgement signal of each mobile terminal in the allocated ACK channel. A method for transmitting acknowledgement to hybrid ARQ packets in an OFDMA system includes the steps of; producing an acknowledgement signal to an HARQ packet received from the base station; confirming an ACK channel allocated to the mobile terminal through the received HARQ packet; loading the acknowledgement signal to the confirmed ACK channel; and transmitting the acknowledgement signal loaded ACK channel to the base station using the uplink.
