A V-BLAST(Vertical Bell Laboratory Layered Space Time) based symbol detection method when channel uncertainty exists in an MIMO(Multi Input Multi Output) system where antenna correlation exists is provided to increase performance of wireless mobile communication where channel uncertainty exists, and to reduce a calculation amount of symbol detection and a null matrix, thereby reducing a system load. A signal vector is calculated by using a symbol transmitted through a channel, an estimated channel matrix, and a channel error(S10). A maximum value of the channel error is minimized(S20). A symbol is detected from a null matrix for assigning weight to each channel(S30). A nonlinear schema V-BLAST symbol is detected from the null matrix.
