VOLTAGE SOURCE CONVERTER SYSTEM WITH PULSE-INTERLEAVING AUXILIARY CIRCUIT FOR HVDC APPLICATION

A voltage source converter system with a pulse-interleaving auxiliary circuit for HVDC(High Voltage Direct Current) application is provided to decrease an external size of a transformer by using a general transformer instead of a tap transformer. A voltage source converter system with a pulse-interleaving auxiliary circuit includes a first converter(110), a second converter(120), an injection transformer(130), first and second direct current capacitors(140,140'), and a three-level half bridge circuit(150). The first converter is connected to a Y-Y transformer(160). The second converter is connected to a Y-Delta transformer(170). A ground terminal of the first converter and an output terminal of the second converter are connected to one terminal of a primary winding. A contact point of a first direct current capacitor(140) and a second direct current capacitor(140') connected to each other in series between an output terminal of the first converter and a ground terminal of the second converter is connected to the other terminal of a primary winding of the injection transformer. One terminal of a secondary winding of the injection transformer is connected to the other terminal of the first winding of the injection transformer and the three-level half bridge.
