BEACON CAPABLE OF DETECTING DISTANCE, POSITION RECOGNITION SYSTEM USING THE BEACON AND POSITION RECOGNITION METHOD THEREOF

A beacon capable of detecting distance, a position recognition system using the beacon and a position recognition method thereof are provided to recognize the position of a moving object by using the beacon including measured distance information in a light. According to a position recognition system including a beacon(300) and a moving object, the beacon measures distance between the moving object and the beacon according to time difference between transmission time of a light transmitted to judge the position of the moving object and sensing time of the light reflected by the moving object. The moving object recognizes relative position for the beacon by receiving phase information and distance information of the light transmitted from the moving object.
