HOME GATEWAY FOR CONTROLLING DIFFERENT BRAND DEVICES IN A HOME NETWORK SYSTEM USING THE POWER LINE COMMUNICATION

A home gateway device for integrated control for different products in a home network system using PLC(Power Line Communication) is provided to control protocols integratedly even though manufacturers of various electronic products which constitute the home network system are different, thus integrated control for different products is realized in the home network system. A power supplier(501) supplies power to a home network by receiving a power signal sent through PLC. A PLC processor(502) receives the power signal to demodulate and process the signal, and extracts a communication signal for PLC. A protocol converter(503) confirms protocols of each home appliance inputted to a home gateway(500), and converts signals transceived with each home appliance into an integrated protocol for integrated processing. A CPU(Central Processing Unit)(504) transmits the processed signals to an external processing device.
