Multimedia Data Seeing and Hearing Service Method of TV Using Back-Up Database of Multimedia Message Service System And System Thereof

A method and a system for servicing multimedia data of a TV are provided to allow a subscriber to store multimedia data, which are transmitted to or from a portable terminal, in an MMS(Multimedia Message Service) system through a subscriber authentication process, or view the stored multimedia data through a TV screen. A DB back-up system(300) stores multimedia data, which are transmitted to or from a portable terminal, in a back-up DB according to request of a subscriber after an authentication process, and transmits MMS data, which are stored in the back-up DB, according to request of the subscriber after the authentication process. An MMS system(200) is operated in synchronization with the DB back-up system according to request of the subscriber. The MMS system transmits the MMS data to a portable terminal, which requests the MMS message. A TV(90) displays the MMS data stored in the back-up DB on a screen, and performs inquiry, search, addition, transmission, and deletion of the MMS data. A set-top box(80) provides a main screen including a menu, and transmits a connection requesting signal to a broadcast system(400) according to selection of the menu. When receiving the connection requesting signal from the set-top box, the broadcast system connects the MMS system to the DB back-up system to perform inquiry, search, addition, transmission, and deletion of corresponding data, and transmits the MMS data, which are received through the MMS system, to the set-top box.
