METHOD OF SELECTING AN ENCODING SCHEME OF A BELL SOUND ACCORDING TO A TYPE OF BELL SOUND SERVICES, AND A METHOD OF PROVIDING VARIOUS BELL SOUNDS USING THE SAME

A method for selecting a compression method of a bell sound in accordance with a type of a bell sound service and a method for offering various bell sounds by using the method are provided to be capable of offering information provided by a user during maximum reception waiting time of a sender according to the user's selection, thus various bell sounds can be serviced. Registration of a bell sound service is requested by a user(S210), and a type of the requested bell sound service is checked(S220). If the requested bell sound service refers to a long bell sound service, a selected bell sound is compressed in the second encoding way having a higher compression rate than the first encoding way, to prevent a sender from repeatedly listening to the bell sound selected by the user while waiting until a call is received, when the sender calls the user(S240).
