An on-line real-time monitoring system of a thermoelectric power plant is provided to obtain accurate operation variables and performance analysis values by detecting an error in a power measuring unit. An on-line real-time monitoring system includes a distribution control system layer(1), a data obtaining and storing layer(2), a performance analyzing layer(3), and a GUI(Graphic User Interface) layer(4). The distribution control system layer controls actual measured values of main components of a thermoelectric power plant. The data obtaining and storing layer obtains the measured values from the distribution control system layer, acquires actual values for monitoring and analyzing the thermoelectric power plant, and stores or provides data for analyzing and calculating performance of various performance monitoring modules. The performance analyzing layer calculates performance of the monitoring modules and stores the calculated data on an intelligence-based database.
