A method and an apparatus for training a language by matching a pronunciation and a word image of the language are provided to supply language training through a process matching a word image displayed on a monitor and a pronunciation corresponding to the word image. An apparatus for training a language by matching a pronunciation and a word image of the language includes a storing medium(13) having a sound font for a pronunciation and a word image corresponding to the sound font. A displaying device displays the word image. A touch panel(11) is installed at the displaying device. A controlling unit(12) replays the sound font and displays a word image corresponding to the replayed sound font to the displaying device. A learner selects a word image corresponding to the replayed sound font among word images displayed to the displaying device through the touch panel.
