A diffusion plate, a backlight unit, a liquid crystal display device, and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to enhance color reproducibility by removing the light with an unnecessary wavelength band. A diffusion plate(141) includes a main body(10), a diffusion agent(15), and a light absorption material(20). The diffusion agent is diffused into the inside of the main body. The light absorption material is formed at one side of the main body. The light absorption material is formed at a surface of the main body. The light absorption material is diffused into the main body. The light absorbing material is used for absorbing a part of wavelengths of 480±20nm.
