Methods are provided which are adapted to create print order files that are customized for one or more particular printer (s). The methods use digital printers that have specific printing capabilities and involve the production and storage of profiles that define the printing capabilities of the printers Preferably, the profile (s) is (are) stored on a removable storage medium, on which a digital camera then stores images and print order files.
