APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DISPLAYING JAVA APPLICATION IN PORTABLE TERMINAL

A device for outputting a Java application program in a portable terminal and a method therefor are provided to output an output screen by calibrating a position of the output screen of the Java application program if size of the output screen is smaller than a display of the terminal, thereby reducing a user's visible inconvenience. A display(204) outputs an output screen of a Java application program. A memory unit(202) stores the Java application program. A Java position calibrator(208) measures calibrated start coordinates of the output screen, so that the output screen is positioned on the center of the display. If execution of the Java application program is requested, a Java executor(206) confirms size of the output screen. If the size of the output screen is smaller than size of the display, the executor measures the calibrated start coordinates and controls the output screen to be outputted by using the calibrated start coordinates.
