SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DISTRIBUTING DIGITAL CONTENTS TO PROVIDE PROPRIETORIAL RIGHTS AND DISTRIBUTED RIGHTS

A system and a method for distributing digital contents to provide proprietorial rights and distribution rights are provided to use a program for executing digital contents itself or corresponding contents at a buyer's terminal for making a digital contents distribution system manage proprietary/usage/distribution rights and network sale results and points of a customer. A system for distributing digital contents includes a digital contents distribution system(200), an authentication server(300) and a payment server(310). The digital contents distribution system registers and stores the digital contents received from a seller's terminal(100), includes metadata in the digital contents, encodes the digital contents, and manages proprietary/usage/distribution rights of the digital contents on a buyer's terminal(110A-110B). The authentication server, connected to the digital contents distribution system, receives an authentication request for the digital contents from the seller's terminal, and issues a certificate for the digital contents. The payment server, connected to the digital contents distribution system, processes payment on sold digital contents based on the transfer of the proprietary/distribution rights.
