A surface acoustic wave device is provided to improve heat-resistant impact and humidity-resistant characteristics by suppressing a delamination of a base part and a cap part. A surface acoustic wave device includes a base part(11) and a cap part(20). The base part is composed of a resin for surrounding the surface acoustic wave device. The cap part is attached on the base part and is composed of the resin. The cap part includes a cavity(26) for sealing the surface acoustic wave device. A treatment process is performed to treat roughness of adhesive surfaces between the base part and the cap part. A convex part is formed in an inside of the adhesive surface that is of one of the base part and the cap part adhered to the other.
