An apparatus for an ultra-compact laser projector, and a laser projection system and method are provided to save space most by implementing projection display on a roll type screen. A laser projector(100) includes a video signal processing unit(110), a laser source(120), and a scanner(130). The video signal processing unit generates laser driving signals and scanner driving signals for green, red, and blue based on input video signals. The laser source generates green, red, and blue laser beams in response to each of the laser driving signals. The scanner projects the laser beams in response to the scanner driving signals. The video signal process unit generates video signals, horizontal synchronization signals, and vertical synchronization signals for green, red, and blue from the input video signals, generates each of the laser driving signals from each of the video signals, and generates the scanner driving signals by using the horizontal synchronization signals and the vertical synchronization signals.
