METHOD FOR APPLICATION GLOBAL NUMBER BETWEEN HETEROGENEOUS IP MULTIMEDIA SUBSYSTEM

A method for applying a global number between heterogeneous IMS networks is provided to apply the global number in an inter-network interwork point through prefix control technique of CSCF and MGCF(Media Gateway Control Function) and IRS(Implicite Register Set) control of an HSS, thereby performing another provider network interworking. If a receiving number of a local number form is transmitted from an origination terminal(20) of a PSTN(Public Switched Telephone Network) or IMS(IP(Internet Protocol) Multimedia Subsystem) network, the receiving number of the local number form is converted into a global number form. A message of the global number form is transmitted to a PSTN or IMS network of a receiving party. If the receiving party is the IMS network, an I-CSCF(Call Session Control Function)(510) transmits the message of the global number form to an HSS(Home Subscriber Server)(60) and receives subscriber information. The I-CSCF converts the received message of the global number form into a local number form according to the subscriber information, and transmits the converted message to a receiving terminal(200).
