摘要
A method for classifying upstream data service flow in a cable network using a channel bonding mode is provided to enhance efficiency in processing the channel bonding of an upstream scheduler by searching for information on an SID(Service ID) cluster as well as information on an upstream data service flow identifier classified for supporting the upstream channel bonding mode more efficiently and rapidly providing information related to an upstream band scheduler. A method for classifying upstream data service flow comprises the following steps. A data packet received from a CMTS(Cable Modem Termination System) upstream physical layer is processed into burst data, and the complete received data packet with an internal header section added is inputted(601). The inputted data is analyzed(603). A UCID(Upstream Channel ID) and an SID are extracted from the inputted data, and a service flow classifying table is searched for by using the extracted information(605). It is checked whether information matched with the inputted data exists in the service flow classifying table(607). If so in the step 607, an address of an SFID(Service Flow ID) information table is acquired(609). Then, if a segment header is in an ON state, an address of an upstream service flow table is acquired(613), the address of the SFID information and the upstream service flow table is inserted into an output packet(615) and a data packet is outputted(617). On the other hand, if the packet header is in an OFF state, the SFID information is inserted into an output packet(621), the address of the SFID information table is inserted(623) and a data packet is outputted(617). If not so in the step 607, the inputted packet is eliminated(619).
