HYBRID HARD DISK DRIVE, COMPUTER SYSTEM INCLUDING HYBRID HDD, AND FLASH MEMORY DMA CIRCUIT OF HYBRID HDD

A hybrid HDD(Hard Disk Drive), a computer system including the hybrid HDD, and a flash memory DMA(Direct Memory access) circuit of the hybrid HDD are provided to decrease overhead caused by interfacing with a flash memory while reducing a boot time and power consumption by using a flash memory including a spare memory region and a flash memory DMA circuit which provides an interface with the flash memory as hardware. A hybrid HDD(100) includes a flash memory(140). The flash memory includes a main memory region for storing user data and a spare memory region for storing additional information required to transmit the user data. The flash memory is used as a cache memory. The additional information includes at least one of information on an LBA(Local Block Address) which indicates the address of the flash memory and information on the number of effective sectors. The user data is transmitted by sectors or pages. The spare memory region stores the LBA corresponding to each sector of the main memory region when the user data is transmitted by sectors. The spare memory region stores the LBA corresponding to each page of the main memory region when the user data is transmitted by pages.
