A food composition effective for disease caused by neuronal damage containing wave hexagonal water extract of buckwheat and glucose is provided to recover deformed and damaged nerve cells of patients with disease caused by neuronal damage. A food composition effective for disease caused by neuronal damage contains wave hexagonal water extract of buckwheat and glucose. The wave hexagonal water extract of buckwheat is obtained by mixing wave hexagonal water(Reminda) and buckwheat, buckwheat leaf or a mixture of buckwheat and buckwheat leaf in a volume ratio of 15:1 to 5:1 and heating for 5 to 15hr. Acanthopanax senticosus can be added to the wave hexagonal water.
