APPARATUS FOR DATA AGGREGATION USING ZONE SCHEDULING IN WIRELESS SENSOR NETWORK AND METHOD THEREOF

A device for aggregating data by using zone scheduling in a wireless sensor network and a method therefore are provided to enable only one of zones which constitute clusters by using zone scheduling to selectively transmit data, thereby increasing lifetime of an overall network. A tree generator(320) generates plural data aggregation trees according to connection relation of clusters which constitute a wireless sensor network by using GGCs(Geographic Codes). A zone scheduling unit(310) selects one active zone for every cluster which constitutes the data aggregation trees. A tree selector(350) selects a maximum energy tree having a maximum total amount of the remaining energy of the trees based on the active zone. A list generator(360) generates a tree list including active zone information corresponding to the maximum energy tree and maximum energy tree information.
