METHOD FOR EXTRACTION OF ANTIOXIDANTS AND COSMECEUTICALS FROM PLANT RESOURCES

A method for extracting antioxidative and functional cosmetic ingredients from plants is provided to obtain the ingredients with excellent anti-oxidizing property, wrinkle-improving effect or whitening effect from leaves, branches or fruits of the plants, thereby applying the obtained ingredients to a functional cosmetic product. A method for extracting antioxidative, wrinkle improving or whitening ingredients from plants comprises a step of extracting 50 grams of a dried sample of leaves, branches or fruits of a plant which is selected from the group consisting of Ardisia japonica, Cornus kousa, Myrica rubra, Persicaria filiformis, and Rhus javanica with 500 ml of 70% organic solvent such as methanol at room temperature in the dark.
