A camera device, a recording medium having a camera device control program recorded thereon, and a method for controlling a camera device are provided to solve a problem that a trimming frame cannot be controlled if a subject as a target image has been moved in a forward/backward direction. A through image having a trace frame is displayed(S101). A subject where the trace frame is displayed in an overlap manner at a time point when a shutter key is half-pressed is determined as a target image(S104). A trimming frame is additionally displayed(S105). It is determined whether or not the target image has been moved in the through image(S111). If the target image has been moved, the trace frame and the trimming frame are made to follow the target image to display a displacement(S114). It is determined whether a central vector of the trimming frame is similar to four ambient vectors(S118). If so, the target image is regarded to be larger than the trimming frame, and the trimming frame is increased by a certain amount(S120).
