A method is provided to screen a peptide which recognizes an anthrax toxin protein and is specifically bonded thereto to diagnose anthrax infection. And a screened peptide is provided to be used as a low molecular weight probe for diagnosing the anthrax infection. A method for screening a peptide as a diagnostic probe for anthrax infection comprises the steps of: (a) mass-producing a protective antigen of anthrax toxin proteins through genetic recombination; (b) bonding the mass-produced protective antigen to a 96-well plate in a certain directivity; and (c) screening a specific peptide bonded to the protective antigen using a library phage display. A peptide probe is characterized in that it is specifically bonded to the protective antigen of anthrax toxin proteins screened by the method to act as a low-molecular weight picomole probe for diagnosing the anthrax infection, wherein an amino acid sequence of the peptide consists of an amino acid described as SEQ ID : NO. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, or 8.
