An inverter, a backlight assembly having the same, and a display device having the same are provided to enable a voltage control device to control the maximum value of voltage applied to a feedback terminal by electrically connecting the voltage control device to the feedback terminal of a main driver, thereby preventing consumed power from being over shot when the inverter initially drives a lamp. A main transformer(140) applies driving AC(Alternating Current) voltage to a lamp(200). A main driver(110) receives a feedback signal from the main transformer, and generates an output signal for controlling the main transformer. A voltage control device(170) is electrically connected to a feedback terminal of the main driver, and controls the maximum value of voltage applied to the feedback terminal. The voltage control device is a zener diode for limiting the maximum value of the voltage applied to the feedback terminal.
