HERBAL COMPOSITION FOR RELIEVING AND TREATING PRIMARY DYSMENORRHEA

A composition comprising medicinal herbs is provided to relieve or treat primary dysmenorrheal including bellyache, waist ache, edema and headache by reducing the duration time of uterine contraction, and lower the pressure within uterine in the absence and presence of uterine contraction. A composition for alleviating and treating primary dysmenorrheal comprises 10-15 wt.% of Ramulus Cinnamomi, 10-15 wt.% of Semen Coicis, 7-10 wt.% of Rhizoma Atractylodis japonicae, 5-7 wt.% of Rhizoma Cyperi, 5-7 wt.% of Cortex Fraxini, 5-7 wt.% of Radix Achyranthis Bidentatae, 5-7 wt.% of Fructus Chaenomelis, 5-7 wt.% of Semen Arecae, 5-7 wt.% of Rhizoma Seu Radix Notopterygh, 5-7 wt.% of Fructus Foeniculi, 5-7 wt.% of Radix Saussurea Seu Inulae, 5-7 wt.% of Radix Glycyrrhizae, 3-5 wt.% of Radix Aconiti Lateralis Preparata, and a remaining amount of Ramulus Euonymi.
