PORTABLE DEVICE AND METHOD FOR DISPLAY THE ORDER OF MAKING STROKES IN WRITING A CHARACTER USING THE SAME

A portable terminal and a stroke order display method using the same are provided to display a stroke order of a Chinese character searched from an electronic dictionary and repeatedly display the Chinese character written in the stroke order. A dictionary contents provider(20) stores Chinese character dictionary information. A stroke order provider(50) provides stroke order information for at least one Chinese character searched from the dictionary contents provider according to search information inputted in a search mode. A controller(40) displays the searched Chinese characters to a display unit(30) in the stroke order information received from the stroke order provider. A view changing key displays the stroke order in different ways. A stroke order view key enables a user to select displaying the stroke order. Various functional keys are prepared with an input keys, which are similar to the key pattern of a common keyboard, in input unit(10).
