METHODS AND SYSTEM FOR QOS-GUARANTEED MULTI-MODE FAST MOBILITY MANAGEMENT IN WIRELESS NETWORKS

Method and a system for QoS(Quality of Service)-guaranteed multi-mode fast mobility management in wireless networks are provided to support the IP(Internet Protocol)-based real time multimedia service efficiently when moving the mobile terminal between cells. A mobile terminal communicates an opponent terminal through an OMS(Open Mobility Management Server) via a wireless LAN base station and a router. The OMS and the router are also operated integrally. When moving the mobile terminal, the service quality of the mobile terminal is deteriorated due to the reduction of the reception electric wave. In order to compensate the deteriorated service quality, the wireless Interface is activated and the mobile terminal receives a temporal IP from the router and forms a tunnel together with the OMS. The mobile terminal transmits and receives data simultaneously in parallel by means of the tunnels 1 and 2. Accordingly, the operable effective bandwidth is increased and the reduction of the bandwidth at the tunnel 1 is compensated.
