An optimal path searching method and a bogus node detecting method in wireless mesh network are provided to interrupt and detect a bogus node accurately attempting illegal access to network and cracking. The reception signal strength of nodes is grasped in a state that a broadcast ID is initialized(301). A node having strongest reception signal among the nodes is selected as a candidate node(302). The available bandwidth and residual electricity of the selected candidate node are measured(303). The candidate node is selected as a next hop object node according as a predetermined critical value satisfies the available bandwidth calculating based on the measured result. The candidate node is determines as a next hoe node according as the broadcast ID is identical with an initiation value.
