A method for manufacturing a regenerated protein spun-dyed yarn is provided to improve the fastness of the regenerated protein spun-dyed yarn, by mixing dyes as well as soluble polymers and cross-linking agents into collagen protein extracted from leather wastes such as shaving scrapes. A spinning solution is prepared by dissolving dyes in an aqueous solution of which a pH value is adjusted to 1.5-5.0 by organic acid, and dissolving PVA, a cross-linking material, and collagen protein extracted from saving scrapes in the dye-dissolved solution. The spinning solution is exhausted to a coagulating bath containing two or more kinds of coagulating materials, and passed by a washing bath and a cross-linking bath. The dyes are selected from liquid or powder type direct dyes, acidic dyes, alkaline dyes, dispersive dyes, reactive dyes, metal complex dyes, azoic dyes, and fluorescent whitening dyes. The dyes are added into the aqueous solution by an amount corresponding to 0.1-50 wt% of the collagen protein and soluble polymers.
