METHOD FOR ATTACHING GEOGRAPHICAL TAG TO DIGITAL DATA AND METHOD FOR PRIVIDING GEOGRAPHICAL NAME INFORMATION FOR THE SAME

A method for attaching a geographical tag to digital data and a geographical name information providing method for the same are provided to enable a user to attach the geographical tag to the digital data, such as a photo, generated from a terminal by providing the geographical name information related to a location generating the digital data rationally. A terminal provides location information to a server periodically to enable the server to generate a user location database(S520). The terminal generates digital data(S530). The terminal requests the geographical name information for the digital data to the server(S540). The terminal receives the geographical name information from the server(S550). The terminal attaches a tag to the digital data by using the received geographical name information(S560). The server provides a manual input service for enabling the user to input a geographical name for the digital data when the user does not found the desired name among the geographical names received from the server. The geographical name received from the user is transmitted to the server.
