CONSTRUCTION METHOD AND THE APPARATUS OF A GROUND RETAINING STRUCTURES OR WALLS

An apparatus and a method for constructing a soil retaining wall are provided to prevent accidents by installing prefabricated steel piles to a soil retaining wall dually and supporting the soil retaining wall strongly, thereby preventing a soil retaining wall or a steel pile from being broken or pushed by earth pressure, and to secure the recycling efficiency of construction equipment, the safety of a building and work efficiency by removing the dually constructed steel piles simply after the construction of a building. An apparatus for constructing a soil retaining wall comprises many first steel piles(11) equipped with soil retaining plate grooves at two sides in the shape of an H-beam and installed on the ground at the soil surface at regular intervals, many second steel piles(12) equipped with soil retaining plate grooves at two sides in the shape of an H-beam and supporting the first steel piles respectively, many soil retaining plates(20) fitted to the soil retaining plate grooves of the first steel piles or the second steel piles in a horizontal direction, many first pile assemblies assembling the second steel piles to the first steel piles, and many steel pile stiffeners(60) installed perpendicular to the second steel piles to connect and support the second steel piles. A method for constructing a soil retaining wall comprises the steps of: reinforcing a soil retaining wall primarily by driving many first steel piles to the ground at the soil surface and fastening many soil retaining plates to soil retaining plate grooves of the first steel piles in a horizontal direction; reinforcing the soil retaining wall dually by placing second steel piles correspondingly to the first steel piles and assembling the first steel piles and the second steel piles using first pile assemblies; keeping the distance between second steel piles and reinforcing the soil retaining wall by inserting many soil retaining plates between the second steel piles in a horizontal direction; installing a soil nail(50) to the dually reinforced soil retaining wall by the first pile assemblies; and connecting and supporting the second steel piles by installing many steel pile stiffeners perpendicular to the second steel piles.
