VIRTUAL STORAGE SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SEARCHING FILE BASED ON AD-HOC NETWORK

A virtual storage system based on the ad-hoc network and a file search method thereof are provided to use storage devices mounted in a PMP(Personal Multimedia Player) equipped with a UPnP(Universal Plug and Play) function, search files satisfying a specific condition from the virtual storage constructed by the virtual storage system, and read one of the search files. Multiple devices(120) are in the network. A virtual storage management server(100) constructs and manages one virtual storage formed by the storage devices mounted in the devices. A database server(110) includes a file address information table(112) for storing and managing address information of the files stored in the storage device of each device forming the virtual storage, and a file content information table(114) for storing and managing meta tag information to search contents of the stored files. The device includes a storage node program(122) for storing and managing data received from the virtual storage management server to the storage device, and a user program(124) for using the virtual storage of the virtual storage management server.
