MULTI-FUNCTION INTERFACE DEVICE, DATA COMMUNICATION AND TRAFFIC FARE PAYMENT METHOD USING IT

A multi-functional connection device and a data communication and traffic fare adjustment method using the same are provided to maximize convenience by combining multiple functions and carrying the connection device as an accessory and to execute traffic fare adjustment and financial payment through RF(Radio Frequency) communication by using the connection device. A multi-functional connection device(200) is composed of a USB(Universe Serial Bus) terminal(10) connected with a computer; an IC(Integrated Circuit) card(20) embedding a CPU(Central Processing Unit) connected with the USB terminal; a switching unit(100) physically controlling a short-circuit or connection; an input/output terminal(50) correspondent to the USB terminal and connected with an external device(60); and a data link unit(40) executing data communication with the external device by connecting the input/output terminal and the IC card. The connection device interfaces with the external device through the input/output terminal to charge electronic cash. The connection device interfaces with a device installed in a vehicle communicating with a fare adjustment office through the USB terminal by wire, in order to adjust fare by using the charged electronic cash.
