Recombinant Canine Rotavirus VP4 Protein Comprising Epitope and Antibody

A recombinant canine rotavirus VP4 protein and an antibody thereof are provided to treat or prevent canine rotavirus infection symptoms more efficiently. A recombinant canine rotavirus VP4 protein consists of an amino acid sequence selected from the group consisting of sequences described in SEQ ID : NO. 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18 and 21. A gene codes the recombinant canine rotavirus VP4 protein. A recombinant expression vector includes the gene operably linked to a control sequence of an expression vector such as pMAL-c2X. A method for preparing the recombinant canine rotavirus fiber protein comprises the steps of: (a) preparing the recombinant expression vector; (b) transforming a host cell using the recombinant expression vector; (c) culturing the transformed host cell to express the gene; and (d) isolating a recombinant canine rotavirus VP4 protein from a culture material obtained from the step(c). An antibody against the recombinant canine rotavirus fiber protein is characterized in that it is isolated from yolk of eggs laid by immunized egg layers. A vaccine composition for treating or preventing canine rotavirus infection symptoms comprises the recombinant canine rotavirus VP4 protein as an effective ingredient.
