A welding part tracking and cutting method in a continuous hot rolling device is provided to prevent error in a cutting length by minimizing time delay in signal transmission and tracking a welding part using a laser velocimeter. A welding part tracking and cutting method in a continuous hot rolling device includes a step(32) of detecting a welding part by acquiring image of a steel plate with an image acquiring unit arranged at the output side of a roller, a step(35) of tracking the welding part for the distance from the image acquiring unit to the front end of a high speed cutter equipped with a laser velocimeter by using the movement speed of the steel plate detected by the laser velocimeter, a step(36) of outputting a cut signal to the high speed cutter using the tracking information, and a step of cutting the tracked welding part in accordance with the cut signal of the welding part.
