A method for restoring a high-resolution image is provided to perform a restoring process of the image while reducing the overload of a system, by applying an FOCUSS(Focal Underdetermined System Solver) algorithm to a down-sampled image having a low resolution. Data having a sparse characteristic are output(S10). The outputted data is down-sampled, and the down-sampled data are converted into a low-resolution image(S20). The converted image is restored to a high-resolution image by using an FOCUSS algorithm(S30). If the data are projection data obtained by magnetic resonance imaging and radial type data, the low-resolution image is converted through inverse radon transformation.
