A personal detector for a combat training simulation system and a control method thereof are provided to transmit precise damage information in a laser combat training simulation system through the wireless network by hitting only one target or soldier by one laser shot of a simulation gun. A detection unit(310) comprises detectors detecting/converting a laser beam received from a simulation gun into an electric detection signal and outputting the detection signal. A decoder(315) converts the detection signal into a laser code. An ADC(Analog/Digital Converter)(320) converts the detection signal into a digital signal and outputs the digital signal. A controller(300) extracts the laser code from the decoder, generates/transmits hit result information including the laser code to the outside, and determines whether a user of a personal detector is hit by the laser beam. A wireless signal transmitter(330) transceives data with the outside. The controller compares gun information, shooter ID information, and shooting time with the received hit result information received from other personal detector, and determines the user as the injured when a death code frequency of the user is higher than that of other users if the compared information is identical with each other.
