A method for manufacturing acid/base blend electrolyte membranes is provided to produce the electrolyte membranes having high ion conductivity and extremely low methanol permeability. A method for manufacturing acid/base blend electrolyte membranes includes the steps of: preparing polyarylethersulfone polymer for manufacturing acidic polymer electrolyte membranes into which sulfone groups are partially introduced, which is represented by the following formula 1; preparing polyaryletherbenzimidazole polymer for manufacturing basic polymer electrolyte membranes into which sulfone groups are partially introduced, which is represented by the following formula 2; mixing 70-99.999wt% of the polyarylethersulfone polymer with 0.001-30wt% of the polyaryletherbenzimidazole polymer, and dissolving the mixture in an organic solvent to prepare a mixture solution; and casting the mixture solution on a glass or teflon plate, and drying the resultant.
