METHOD FOR PROVIDING RING BACK TONE OF INTERNATIONAL ROAMING AND MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM THEREFOR

An international roaming ring back tone providing method and a mobile communication system for the same are provided to supply a ring back tone service to a transmitting party's mobile communication terminal, which has attempted call connection to an international roaming mobile communication terminal of a receiving party, by using a gateway switch. An transmitting party's MSC(Mobile Switching Center) requests location information of a receiving party's mobile communication terminal to an HLR(Home Location Register)(S201). If the receiving party's mobile communication terminal is in an international roaming state, the HLR transmits a gateway switch address and ring back tone information of the receiving party's mobile communication terminal to the transmitting party's MSC(S203). The transmitting party's MSC transmits a call connection request including the ring back tone information to a gateway switch based on the gateway switch address(S205). The gateway switch requests the location information of the receiving party's mobile communication terminal to a global location register, and receives a receiving party's MSC address as a response to the request(S207,S209). The gateway switch requests call connection to the receiving party's MSC based on the receiving party's MSC address and transmits a ring back tone request message, including the ring back tone information received from the transmitting party's MSC, to a ring back tone providing server(S211,S213). The ring back tone providing server transmits a ring back tone, preset by a receiving party, to the transmitting party's MSC so as to be transmitted to the transmitting party's mobile communication terminal(S215).
